1880s Sugar Loaf Quilt
One of the most asked after quilts from our personal collection — This quilt features the rare and beautiful ever so coveted cheddar fabric and some calicos that we have never come across before. This is a nice larger size that would suit a queen bed nicely. The magenta and charcoal whole cloth calico backing is quite a unique pattern.

How it’s made: hand quilted and machine pieced with some hand piecing as well
Weight: medium to heavy
Measurements laid flat: 73” x 95”
Shown on a standard Full size bed.
C O N D I T I O N
Irregular edges and some stains that aren’t super noticeable due to the patchwork being so eclectic. A small hole on one edge that doesn’t go all the way through and would be an easy mend if so desired.
Most importantly: Please do not cut this quilt for a coat or other project my friends. It is too beautiful and in gorgeous condition and a work of art in and of itself. It would be tragic to cut up such a beautiful piece of textile history.
