Meet Leney and Owen.
Folkling was started by Leney in the beginning of 2017.
It was originally a venture in tandem with her photography business:
A Girl Named Leney
Leney spent a number of years traveling extensively and living life on The Road.
Along the way she would save old things, tell their stories and sell them through the Folkling Instagram in between photo jobs. All the while carrying out an ethos of slow living.
In 2019 Leney met Owen.
(It had something to do with an old Pendleton button down… but that’s a story for another time)
Turns out he also liked unique old things and slow living.
At the end of 2020 we opened a brick and mortar for Folkling in a little town in Virginia called Gordonsville.
There’s a lot more to this story, and there’s a lot more yet to be written.
