1860s Signed Sunflower Quilt

$398.00

Fit for a flower lover. There are 9 round blocks, about 12” in diameter, set straight, 3 by 3, appliquéd onto a white ground. There is a 16” white border along the 4 sides, with corner cut outs along the bottom for a four post bed. There is thin cotton batting and a white cotton reverse. The edge is finished with an applied white fabric binding, by hand.
There is a hand inked stamp in the top border, center, Mary A Daines, a very special and unique detail on this lovely piece.

D E T A I L S

How it’s made: Hand pieced, hand appliquéd, and hand quilted.

Weight: Medium

Measurements laid flat: 85 x 86 inches

Shown on a standard Full size bed.
If you’d like to hang your quilt, we recommend our locally made Folkling Quilt Clips!

C O N D I T I O N

Has several spots of discoloration, minor edge wear, but the rose calico has deteriorated.
In very usable condition.

Most importantly: Please do not cut this quilt for a coat or other project. It is too beautiful and in gorgeous condition and a work of art in and of itself. It would be tragic to cut up such a beautiful piece of textile history.

⋒ This is an antique piece, all photos have been taken in natural light and with limited editing to reflect its condition. Please keep in mind all antique pieces have little imperfections and reflect the story and charm of the piece.

⋒ This find will ship to you within one week of purchasing. International and combined shipping is available, please contact us via instagram DM at @Folkling for a personalized shipping quote.

We want you to love your vintage finds, so please look through the photos and read the listing description carefully and feel free to ask any and all questions before purchasing, as we do not accept returns.

Thank you for understanding!
