Pair of 1930s Turkey Red Patchwork Quilts
There is nothing more timeless than a red and white quilt. Except maybe— two red and white quilts.
According to a note that came with the pair, these quilts were made by Addie King Busbey in 1939 - 1940, and were given to sisters Helen and Louise Harrold.
A very sweet and classic matching pair that would look great your little ones room.
Sold as a pair.
D E T A I L S
How it’s made: hand pieced, hand quilted
Weight: light
Measurements laid flat: 60” x 78”
Shown on a standard Full size bed.
If you’d like to hang your quilt, we recommend our locally made Folkling Quilt Clips!
C O N D I T I O N
There are some areas of wear to the patchwork, nothing that goes through both layers, just the surface piecework. Also some various areas of bleeding and discoloration throughout that is hard to see in certain lights and hard to photograph. Nevertheless, this charming pair is very sturdy and usable for every day.
Most importantly: Please do not cut this quilt for a coat or other project. It is too beautiful and in gorgeous condition and a work of art in and of itself. It would be tragic to cut up such a beautiful piece of textile history.
⋒ This is an antique piece, all photos have been taken in natural light and with limited editing to reflect its condition. Please keep in mind all antique pieces have little imperfections and reflect the story and charm of the piece.
⋒ This find will ship to you within one week of purchasing. International and combined shipping is available, please contact us via instagram DM at @Folkling for a personalized shipping quote.
