1830's Wild Goose Chase Quilt

$1,200.00
sold out

There are always a few quilts in every collection that are extra hard to let go of… this incredible 1830s Wild Goose Chase is one of those this month.
One of the oldest quilts we have had the privilege of having in our collection.

This quilt is a collectors dream. With an array of gorgeous fabrics we’ve never seen, and cotton seed filled batting, it’s in truly *amazing* condition for being just shy of 200 years old.
Unaltered save for the new binding being added later in its life to preserve it.

From a prominent Pennsylvania collection.

D E T A I L S

How it’s made: hand quilted and machine pieced

Weight: light

Measurements laid flat: 83” x 84”

Shown on a standard Full size bed.

C O N D I T I O N
Almost perfect condition! Only one or two faint spots of discoloration on the front and a couple more smaller spots on the back.

Most importantly: Please do not cut this quilt for a coat or other project. It is too beautiful and in gorgeous condition and a work of art in and of itself. It would be tragic to cut up such a beautiful piece of textile history.

⋒ This is an antique piece, all photos have been taken in natural light and with limited editing to reflect its condition. Please keep in mind all antique pieces have little imperfections and reflect the story and charm of the piece.

⋒ This find will ship to you within one week of purchasing. International and combined shipping is available, please contact us via instagram DM at @Folkling for a personalized shipping quote.

—☽☼— All sales are final —☼☽—

We want you to love your vintage finds, so please look through the photos and read the listing description carefully and feel free to ask any and all questions before purchasing, as we do not accept returns.

Thank you for understanding!
