Mid 19th C. Square In A Square Quilt
An incredible heirloom with walnut calicos the likes of which we have never seen.
A truly amazing piece, complete with cut out corners for a four poster bed, which in and of themselves are rare.
D E T A I L S
How it’s made: Hand quilted, hand pieced
Weight: medium
Measurements laid flat: 100” x 100”
Shown on a standard Full size bed.
If you’d like to hang your quilt, we recommend our locally made Folkling Quilt Clips!
C O N D I T I O N
Absolutely gorgeous condition, few flaws save for watermarks around the edges (which blend into the calico and are truthfully hard to see) and some general discoloration on the back and some slight fading in a few spots on the front (also hard to see due to the prints of the calico)
A sturdy and usable heirloom, though it should never be soaked due to the walnut calicos being prone to bleeding.
Most importantly: Please do not cut this quilt for a coat or other project. It is too beautiful and in gorgeous condition and a work of art in and of itself. It would be tragic to cut up such a beautiful piece of textile history.
⋒ This is an antique piece, all photos have been taken in natural light and with limited editing to reflect its condition. Please keep in mind all antique pieces have little imperfections and reflect the story and charm of the piece.
⋒ This find will ship to you within one week of purchasing. International and combined shipping is available, please contact us via instagram DM at @Folkling for a personalized shipping quote.
