Late 1800s Three Panel Rag Rug 8’ 7” x 9’ 8”
To tell you that this piece is rare is an understatement. An amazing size and with striking and rich colors. Usually found in single runners, this rag rug was thoughtfully woven in three parts and then sewn together. Gorgeous as a centerpiece for a room that read neutral enough to go with just about anything.
Hues of grapefruit, citron, chambray blue, ivory, slate, turkey red, pea green and peony pink.
We think there is no better way to brighten up a room than with a vintage or antique rug, and this one’s a doozy. An incredibly rare and quite large rag rug made of three separate panels. It was pieced together with care - those stripes line up just right.
Measurements laid flat: 8’ 7” x 9’ 8”
Condition
With some staining and discoloration throughout as well as some wear here and there. Largely in incredible condition for its age and a very usable and incredible piece.
