1890s Basket Signature Quilt

$250.00
sold out

This 1890s basket patterned quilt has faint but visible signatures in the handle of each basket. A tradition of the time that symbolizes community and friendships.
This one has more wear than most that we list, but with its visible story and charm we think it’s still an extra special one and is certainly useable despite its wear.

Found somewhere on the coast of maine

D E T A I L S

How it’s made: Hand tied and machine pieced

Weight: Medium to heavy

Measurements laid flat: 76” x 74”

Shown on a standard Full size bed.

C O N D I T I O N

Has several stains and discoloration throughout as well as wear to the edges. Still a beautiful heritage piece despite (or we would argue, because of…) the life it has lived so far.

Most importantly
: Please do not cut this quilt for a coat or other project my friends. It is too beautiful and in gorgeous condition and a work of art in and of itself. It would be tragic to cut up such a beautiful piece of textile history.

⋒  This is an antique piece, all photos have been taken in natural light and with limited editing to reflect its condition. Please keep in mind all antique pieces have little imperfections and reflect the story and charm of the piece.

⋒ This find will ship to you within one week of purchasing. International and combined shipping is available, please contact us via instagram DM at @Folkling for a personalized shipping quote.

—☽☼— All sales are final —☼☽—

We want you to love your vintage finds, so please look through the photos and read the  listing description carefully and feel free to ask any and all questions before purchasing, as we do not accept returns.

Thank you for understanding!
