A rare textile. An opened antique Portuguese grain sack, previous owner cut down the middle of the back, and then along the fold line at the bottom, giving one large textile, ideal for upholstery projects, pillows, a tablescape, or even a little half curtain.
Hand woven linen and cotton. This textile has a hand stitched seam that runs down the length.
These sacks often have a stamp so that the sack could be returned to the rightful owner after the grain was milled.
