1900s Oak Leaf Appliqué Quilt

This 1900s Oak Leaf appliqué quilt is a stunning representation of this art form. Appliqué, also known as “laid work”, is when patterns are cut from fabric and then applied to the top of a quilt vs. being pieced together. One of my personal favorite types of quilting.
Such intricacy in this one. Look at those hand stitches! And the calico fabrics that make up this one are so stunning.

Perfect to take with you on your next adventure or cozy up on a cold day at home.

Beautifully hand appliquéd, and hand quilted at 16 stitches per inch. Truly a work of art.
A nice lighter weight quilt for the transition in seasons.

Measurements laid flat:
72” x 66”

In absolutely gorgeous and useable condition. has a few spots of discoloration as well as from the way it was stored, and some fading to some parts, but overall just simply stunning.

Most importantly: Please do not cut this quilt for a coat or other project my friends. It is too beautiful and in gorgeous condition and a work of art in and of itself. It would be tragic to cut up such a beautiful piece of textile history.
