This beautiful 19th Century mohair cape is unlike anything we have ever seen or come across before. Such a spectacular statement piece.
With a soft mohair inner shell, and an outer shell of ivory silk that has been machine quilted in a wavy pattern with a thin cotton batting. Sand colored wool felt trim with pinked edges and a double frog cord clasp at the left shoulder as well as a hood-like collar/flap.
Can be worn reversed if desired.

It is in fair condition with some splits in the silk, and some fragility to some parts of the goatskin at the edges.
Has some mends throughout. Can be worn with consideration.
