19th c. French Whole Cloth Calico Quilt
A quilt from Europe, this is a very wonderful representation of a textile used, mended and loved over time.
While no longer serviceable as a quilt, it is a beautiful work of art with its original mends and would be spectacular hung on a wall or used as a backdrop.
We almost kept it for that purpose! Some really rare and special fabrics in this one.

C O N D I T I O N
This quilt has tears, and cuts and overall wear. It still has life left to live for an artful purpose, but is no longer suitable for a bed.
Most importantly: Please do not cut this quilt for a coat or other project. It is too beautiful and in gorgeous condition and a work of art in and of itself. It would be tragic to cut up such a beautiful piece of textile history.
