1940s Yoyo Quilt

$525.00
sold out

Yoyo quilts were mostly in style from the 1920s - 1940s. For the maker, these quilts were a great way to use scraps of fabric that were already on hand and quite affordable. Due to the simplicity and minimal requirements of the yoyo quilt pattern (supply of scraps, a circle template, a needle and thread) it was a very popular pattern during the Great Depression.

This quilt in particular has darling repeating red yoyos that create an almost polka dot look.
Overall an incredible one in stunning condition for its age. Hard to find these beauties in tact!

D E T A I L S

How it’s made: hand pieced and hand gathered

Weight: medium

Measurements laid flat: 90” x 90”

Shown on a standard Full size bed.

C O N D I T I O N
Two or three yoyos that are coming un-gathered, these could be easily mended. Otherwise, flawless!

Most importantly: Please do not cut this quilt for a coat or other project. It is too beautiful and in gorgeous condition and a work of art in and of itself. It would be tragic to cut up such a beautiful piece of textile history.

⋒ This is an antique piece, all photos have been taken in natural light and with limited editing to reflect its condition. Please keep in mind all antique pieces have little imperfections and reflect the story and charm of the piece.

⋒ This find will ship to you within one week of purchasing. International and combined shipping is available, please contact us via instagram DM at @Folkling for a personalized shipping quote.

We want you to love your vintage finds, so please look through the photos and read the listing description carefully and feel free to ask any and all questions before purchasing, as we do not accept returns.

Thank you for understanding!
