1930s Feedsack Sampler Quilt
A great make-do folk art piece in that this small quilt was made from a variety of feedsacks and clothing scraps and is a great sampler, in which the maker practiced a variety of patterns within the quilt.
Hang vertically or horizontally as the art piece that it is.
From a collector in the Shenandoah Valley
D E T A I L S
How it’s made: Machine pieced and machine quilted
Weight: Light
Measurements laid flat: 39” x 69”
If you’d like to hang your quilt, we recommend our locally made Folkling Quilt Clips!
C O N D I T I O N
Overall discoloration. A few seam separations and a few areas of exposed batting.
Most importantly: Please do not cut this quilt for a coat or other project. It is too beautiful and in gorgeous condition and a work of art in and of itself. It would be tragic to cut up such a beautiful piece of textile history.
⋒ This is an antique piece, all photos have been taken in natural light and with limited editing to reflect its condition. Please keep in mind all antique pieces have little imperfections and reflect the story and charm of the piece.
⋒ This find will ship to you within one week of purchasing. International and combined shipping is available, please contact us via instagram DM at @Folkling for a personalized shipping quote.
