An incredible folk piece, this wool coat with its colorful felt appliqué details and tooled leather trim is truly an amazing one of a kind piece. We have never come across anything like this. Circa 1920s-1930s, from Transylvania.
Wearable, though would look equally stunning hung on the wall as the work of art that it is.

This has been laundered and is fresh. Many areas of appliqué are worn away. Pieces of the leather trim are split with small areas missing.
There are some areas of surface wear. A light pink mark on the right sleeve and a darker one on the right sleeve.
