The ever coveted school house quilt. This is one of the most popular patterns that we curate and whenever we have one — It doesn’t last long!
A very sweet iteration, circa 1920s-1940s. In indigo dyed cotton that has long since faded with many washes and makes up the piecework of the houses, paired with sweet lemonade yellow cotton sashes around the blocks. It has a minimalist and understated appearance — not common with this pattern which is usually rendered in bold colors and bright prints. This more subtle version is what drew us to this quilt and makes it all the more special.
A quilt that will certainly be a crown jewel in your collection.

How it’s made: Hand quilted and machine pieced
Weight: Heavy
Measurements laid flat: 82” x 62”

C O N D I T I O N
Overall fading. A few areas of faint discoloration and a few areas of darker 1” spots of discoloration. Wear around the edges of the quilt. Overall in very sturdy and usable condition, though it would look remarkable hung on a wall.
Most importantly: Please do not cut this quilt for a coat or other project. It is too beautiful and in gorgeous condition and a work of art in and of itself. It would be tragic to cut up such a beautiful piece of textile history.
