A wonderful and rare skirt, French in origin, this petticoat is entirely hand knit and would have been used as an underskirt in the colder months. We have never seen anything quite like it and feel it’s truly a special collectors piece. With beautiful cables and vertical eyelet lace, as well as a beautiful scalloped knit lace hem.
A note from the previous owner: This skirt was found in the southwest of France, but we're not sure where it was made. However, we believe it probably dates to the region.
