1920s Rising Sun Quilt
Circa 1890s-1920s, this pattern is also known as Georgetown Circle, and is one of our favorites in this collection. Imagine waking up to this vibrant beauty on your bed every morning!
With charming sawtooth/prairie points bound edge, and in the most vibrant cheddar and turkey red cotton, this is not a common pattern to come across (we haven’t ever had one like it before!) and is a very special piece. The cheddar sashing features charming nine patch red and white checkerboard at each intersection.
D E T A I L S
How it’s made: Hand pieced, hand quilted
Weight: medium, cotton batting
Measurements laid flat: 80" x 67"
Shown on a standard Full size bed.
If you’d like to hang your quilt, we recommend our locally made Folkling Quilt Clips!

Good strong gorgeous condition, scattered fading to orange fabrics, small minor discolorations here and there, one small spot on the corner that exposes batting. Overall beautiful.
Most importantly: Please do not cut this quilt for a coat or other project. It is too beautiful and in gorgeous condition and a work of art in and of itself. It would be tragic to cut up such a beautiful piece of textile history.
⋒ This is an antique piece, all photos have been taken in natural light and with limited editing to reflect its condition. Please keep in mind all antique pieces have little imperfections and reflect the story and charm of the piece.
