1900s Penny Quilt

$288.00
sold out

This Sweet quilt mirrors the penny rug trend of this era. With a variety of blue and grey wool clothing scraps and wine colored backing, this is a beautiful smaller quilt to use as display or at the foot of your bed.
Charming rick-rack edging detail.
We love the striking deep rich tones of the back of this quilt almost as much (maybe more?) as the front.
D E T A I L S

How it’s made: Hand pieced

Weight: Medium

Measurements laid flat: 69”x43”

Shown on a standard Full size bed.

C O N D I T I O N

The backing is separating around the seams of this quilt due to age. Has some wear on some of the center patchwork as well due to the way it was stored and age. Backing also has some weak spots due to the wool having some wear.

Most importantly: Please do not cut this quilt for a coat or other project my friends. It is too beautiful and in gorgeous condition and a work of art in and of itself. It would be tragic to cut up such a beautiful piece of textile history.

⋒  This is an antique piece, all photos have been taken in natural light and with limited editing to reflect its condition. Please keep in mind all antique pieces have little imperfections and reflect the story and charm of the piece.

⋒ This find will ship to you within one week of purchasing. International and combined shipping is available, please contact us via instagram DM at @Folkling for a personalized shipping quote.

—☽☼— All sales are final —☼☽—

We want you to love your vintage finds, so please look through the photos and read the  listing description carefully and feel free to ask any and all questions before purchasing, as we do not accept returns.

Thank you for understanding!
