A very special basket quilt from the early 1900s. Made in Franklin County Pennsylvania. From a collector who shared with us that they only ever bought basket quilts if all of the baskets were matching! And this one certainly does, with its very satisfying symmetry of lemonade calico baskets all in a row.
Beautiful precise chevron and parallel line hand quilting. With lovely homespun wholecloth backing.
Perfect for use on a bed, or on a wall as art.

A few minor faint spots of discoloration across the quilt. Otherwise pristine, sturdy and highly usable!
Most importantly: Please do not cut this quilt for a coat or other project. It is too beautiful and in gorgeous condition and a work of art in and of itself. It would be tragic to cut up such a beautiful piece of textile history.
