1900s Eight Pointed Star Quilt

$258.00
sold out

This quilt top was made sometime in the 1900s, however it was finished and backed sometime in the 1970s. A very beautiful pattern, and now a usable and lovely quilt! An array of especially beautiful calicos in this one.

D E T A I L S

How it’s made: hand pieced, machine used to add backing and batting layers which are attached at the edges, not quilted or tied in the body of the quilt.

Weight: light medium

Measurements laid flat: 68” x 80”

Shown on a standard Full size bed.
If you’d like to hang your quilt, we recommend our locally made Folkling Quilt Clips!

C O N D I T I O N

Brown discolorations scattered throughout. Small seam separations also scattered throughout the stars, with a few small holes and tears to fabric as well. The backing and binding are more recently made than the quilt top itself. A very lovely and usable quilt.

Most importantly: Please do not cut this quilt for a coat or other project. It is too beautiful and in gorgeous condition and a work of art in and of itself. It would be tragic to cut up such a beautiful piece of textile history.

⋒ This is an antique piece, all photos have been taken in natural light and with limited editing to reflect its condition. Please keep in mind all antique pieces have little imperfections and reflect the story and charm of the piece.

⋒ This find will ship to you within one week of purchasing. International and combined shipping is available, please contact us via instagram DM at @Folkling for a personalized shipping quote.

—☽☼— All sales are final —☼☽—

We want you to love your vintage finds, so please look through the photos and read the listing description carefully and feel free to ask any and all questions before purchasing, as we do not accept returns.

Thank you for understanding!
