1900s Chambray String Quilt
With lovely homespun, chambray, denim, ticking and feedsack fabrics throughout, this quilt was likely created from garments. Making it a really lovely make-do piece that looks especially captivating on a wall.
D E T A I L S
How it’s made: Machine pieced and hand quilted
Weight: Medium
Measurements laid flat: 71” x 74”
If you’d like to hang your quilt, we recommend our locally made Folkling Quilt Clips!
C O N D I T I O N
Overall sturdy and in great usable everyday condition. Areas of exposed batting throughout. Spots of discoloration throughout. One darker 3” spot of discoloration towards the middle of the quilt. Some wear at edge binding.
Most importantly: Please do not cut this quilt for a coat or other project. It is too beautiful and in gorgeous condition and a work of art in and of itself. It would be tragic to cut up such a beautiful piece of textile history.
⋒ This is an antique piece, all photos have been taken in natural light and with limited editing to reflect its condition. Please keep in mind all antique pieces have little imperfections and reflect the story and charm of the piece.
⋒ This find will ship to you within one week of purchasing. International and combined shipping is available, please contact us via instagram DM at @Folkling for a personalized shipping quote.
