1892 Redwork Quilt

$390.00
sold out

For being 131 years old, this beauty is stunning.

Fifty six blocks of beautiful red work motifs, including the family name “Weir” in a charming heart. Redwork is some of our favorite to find when it comes to antique textiles.

Whether used on a bed or hung on your wall, this one is sure to bring joy to your home.

D E T A I L S

How it’s made: machine pieced, hand embroidered, hand tied

Weight: light to medium

Measurements laid flat: 72” x 76”

Shown on a standard Full size bed.
If you’d like to hang your quilt, we recommend our locally made Folkling Quilt Clips!

C O N D I T I O N

In great usable shape - there are a several small brown spots and pinholes throughout, a slight yellowish tone to the white fabric, and general wear to redwork thread, particularly nearer the top of the quilt and to the herringbone stitch around individual blocks.

Most importantly: Please do not cut this quilt for a coat or other project. It is too beautiful and in gorgeous condition and a work of art in and of itself. It would be tragic to cut up such a beautiful piece of textile history.

⋒ This is an antique piece, all photos have been taken in natural light and with limited editing to reflect its condition. Please keep in mind all antique pieces have little imperfections and reflect the story and charm of the piece.

⋒ This find will ship to you within one week of purchasing. International and combined shipping is available, please contact us via instagram DM at @Folkling for a personalized shipping quote.

—☽☼— All sales are final —☼☽—

We want you to love your vintage finds, so please look through the photos and read the listing description carefully and feel free to ask any and all questions before purchasing, as we do not accept returns.

Thank you for understanding!
