1890s Empty Spool Quilt

$480.00
sold out

This 1890s Empty Spool patterned quilt with Garden Maze variation, has a vibrant pink calico background and varied calico patchwork throughout. The very best part? It’s backed with an incredibly rich saturated blue calico. A rare thing to find a quilt with a full blue calico backing. It showcases beautifully the intricate hand stitching and we’d argue could be beautifully displayed on either side because of it.
Found in North Carolina.

D E T A I L S

Machine pieced with incredibly precise hand stitched quilting
Light to medium weight.

Measurements laid flat:

70” x 82”

C O N D I T I O N
One small discoloration spot on the front. No other wear, tears or holes to note. In excellent condition.

Most importantly: Please do not cut this quilt for a coat or other project my friends. It is too beautiful and in gorgeous condition and a work of art in and of itself. It would be tragic to cut up such a beautiful piece of textile history.

⋒ This is an antique piece, all photos have been taken in natural light and with limited editing to reflect its condition. Please keep in mind all antique pieces have little imperfections and reflect the story and charm of the piece.

⋒ This find will ship to you within one week of purchasing. International and combined shipping is available, please contact us via instagram DM at @Folkling for a personalized shipping quote.

We want you to love your vintage finds, so please look through the photos and read the listing description carefully and feel free to ask any and all questions before purchasing, as we do not accept returns.

Thank you for understanding!
