1890s Sister Quilts
This listing is for two incredibly unique and rare quilts that were made by the same maker.
Having stayed together for over 100 years— we found we couldn’t be the ones to separate them, so we are listing them together in hopes another collector will appreciate and love them for their next 100 years.
Circa 1890s-1900s, these Circle In A Square and Snowball quilts are truly unlike any we have come across before.
They are highly unusual and rare in their pattern and color and true collectors pieces.
The circles in the center of this first quilt are such a deep indigo they present as almost black.
A very gorgeous and unique detail.
Both are resplendent in beautiful and intricate hand quilting and covered in original makers marks. Which lends us to believe these were likely never used.
They are both quite pristine.
Truly museum worthy pieces and ones we will have a hard time letting go of!
Sold together as a pair
D E T A I L S
How it’s made: Hand quilted, hand pieced
Weight: light
Measurements laid flat:
Square In A Square Quilt 71” x 81”
Snowball Quilt 77” x 76”
If you’d like to hang your quilt, we recommend our locally made Folkling Quilt Clips!
C O N D I T I O N
Both have original makers marks throughout and only some minor marks from storage. Consult photos.
Both present beautifully and quite close to perfect, especially for their age.
Most importantly: Please do not cut this quilt for a coat or other project. It is too beautiful and in gorgeous condition and a work of art in and of itself. It would be tragic to cut up such a beautiful piece of textile history.
⋒ This is an antique piece, all photos have been taken in natural light and with limited editing to reflect its condition. Please keep in mind all antique pieces have little imperfections and reflect the story and charm of the piece.
⋒ This find will ship to you within one week of purchasing. International and combined shipping is available, please contact us via instagram DM at @Folkling for a personalized shipping quote.

We want you to love your vintage finds, so please look through the photos and read the listing description carefully and feel free to ask any and all questions before purchasing, as we do not accept returns.
Thank you for understanding!
