1890s Sawtooth Diamond in a Square Quilt
This quilt is Pennsylvania made in origin, and the minute orange striped cotton presents as peach when taken in as a whole in this quilt. Immaculate construction, with a very dynamic presence, this work of art is truly meant for a wall to do it justice, though is sturdy enough for a bed.
The back has a beautiful brown floral cotton and the quilt also maintains the original makers marks which isn’t something you see everyday. Beautiful feather quilting throughout. A true collectors piece.
This quilt comes from the Pilgrim/Roy Collection in Warner, New Hampshire.

Museum worthy— this one hardly has flaws to note save for some very minor small spots at the edges which are hard to pick out, and one lighter quarter sized spot in the body.
Most importantly: Please do not cut this quilt for a coat or other project. It is too beautiful and in gorgeous condition and a work of art in and of itself. It would be tragic to cut up such a beautiful piece of textile history.
⋒ This is an antique piece, all photos have been taken in natural light and with limited editing to reflect its condition. Please keep in mind all antique pieces have little imperfections and reflect the story and charm of the piece.
