1890s Pennsylvania Amish Lone Star Quilt

$498.00

This elegant wool and cotton 1890's authentic Pennsylvania Amish quilt was found in central Pennsylvania.

It is rare to come across Amish quilts this early, a true collectors textile.

There is quilting around the piecework and in straight line and diamond designs in the background, all at 5-6 stitches per inch. The back and hand stitched, rolled binding are the same early brown calico, and the batting is thin.

Weight: Medium

Measurements laid flat: 66” x 78”

If you’d like to hang your quilt, we recommend our locally made Folkling Quilt Clips!

Fair condition, with various discoloration throughout, wear in much of the brown (mostly on the front, but also some on the back) and a 3" tear at one edge.

Most importantly: Please do not cut this quilt for a coat or other project. It is too beautiful and in gorgeous condition and a work of art in and of itself. It would be tragic to cut up such a beautiful piece of textile history.

⋒ This is an antique piece, all photos have been taken in natural light and with limited editing to reflect its condition. Please keep in mind all antique pieces have little imperfections and reflect the story and charm of the piece.

⋒ This find will ship to you within one week of purchasing. International and combined shipping is available, please contact us via instagram DM at @Folkling for a personalized shipping quote.
