1890s Nine Patch Quilt

$490.00
sold out

This Americana quilt came to us by way of a friend up north and it is such a gorgeous and classic pattern. The calico reads pink in these photos, but is definitely more red in real life.
Our favorite detail: the black calico on the back has some “misprinting” on it, where the fabric wasn’t laid flat completely during the roller printing process and so the dye was not able to transfer. A quirky and fun little “flaw” that we think adds to its overall charm.

D E T A I L S

How it’s made: Hand quilted, machine pieced

Weight: Light to medium

Measurements laid flat: 82” x 82”

Shown on a standard Full size bed.
If you’d like to hang your quilt, we recommend our locally made Folkling Quilt Clips!

C O N D I T I O N
A few small areas of seam separation between squares, general fading to some blue fabrics, several tiny white discoloration spots, and wear around edges through to batting layer. On the back, a few small worn holes and seam separations between top and bottom layers, general yellowing around the edges of the quilt, and one line along the back of the quilt where the fabric looks like it was slightly folded during the printing process and didn’t take on color.

Most importantly: Please do not cut this quilt for a coat or other project. It is too beautiful and in gorgeous condition and a work of art in and of itself. It would be tragic to cut up such a beautiful piece of textile history.

⋒ This is an antique piece, all photos have been taken in natural light and with limited editing to reflect its condition. Please keep in mind all antique pieces have little imperfections and reflect the story and charm of the piece.

⋒ This find will ship to you within one week of purchasing. International and combined shipping is available, please contact us via instagram DM at @Folkling for a personalized shipping quote.

Thank you for understanding!
