1890s Nine Patch On Point Quilt
From a collector in the Shenandoah Valley, with beautiful intricate quilting and early calicos. Despite its flaws, this quilt looks great displayed, or for photo use or study, or could be used for more everyday-utilitarian uses such as picnics in the park.
D E T A I L S
How it’s made: Machine pieced and hand quilted
Weight: Light
Measurements laid flat: 67” x 75”
Shown on a standard Full size bed.
If you’d like to hang your quilt, we recommend our locally made Folkling Quilt Clips!
C O N D I T I O N
A faded crease goes across the middle of the quilt from storage or display. A few separations in the piecework throughout. Spots of discoloration throughout. A few darker spots of discoloration on the back of the quilt. A few areas of exposed batting. Overall a sweet quilt that is still usable with care.
Most importantly: Please do not cut this quilt for a coat or other project. It is too beautiful and in gorgeous condition and a work of art in and of itself. It would be tragic to cut up such a beautiful piece of textile history.
⋒ This is an antique piece, all photos have been taken in natural light and with limited editing to reflect its condition. Please keep in mind all antique pieces have little imperfections and reflect the story and charm of the piece.
