              1890s Lone Star Quilt
This 1890s to 1910s Lone Star quilt is the best of the best. Talk about wow factor! This beautiful quilt has the original maker’s mark of pencil quilting guidelines and is incredibly intricately hand quilted with striking turkey red and off-white cottons. The dual edged border frames this masterpiece so well. If this one doesn’t find a home we wouldn’t be too heart broken with it staying with us…
D E T A I L S
Machine pieced and hand quilted.
A medium weight quilt, perfect for staying cozy on cooler evenings.
Measurements laid flat:
76” x 84”
C O N D I T I O N
Various small foxing discolorations throughout on the back. Two of the sides of the top have some fading. A few tiny holes on the edges and one or two holes on some of the star patches as well. This quilt has never been used and its damage is due to age and improper storage.
Most importantly: Please do not cut this quilt for a coat or other project my friends. It is too beautiful and in gorgeous condition and a work of art in and of itself. It would be tragic to cut up such a beautiful piece of textile history.
⋒ This is an antique piece, all photos have been taken in natural light and with limited editing to reflect its condition. Please keep in mind all antique pieces have little imperfections and reflect the story and charm of the piece.
