1890s Homespun Nine Patch Quilt
A sweet quilt from a collector in the Shenandoah Valley, lovely homespun throughout as well as a a whole cloth homespun backing. Despite its flaws, this quilt looks great displayed, or could be used for more everyday-utilitarian uses such as picnics in the park.
D E T A I L S
How it’s made: Machine pieced and hand quilted
Weight: medium
Measurements laid flat: 65” x 75”
Shown on a standard Full size bed.
If you’d like to hang your quilt, we recommend our locally made Folkling Quilt Clips!
C O N D I T I O N
Areas of exposed batting throughout. Areas of wear across binding exposing batting. Areas of discoloration. A 1” hole that goes through the quilt at one side. Overall sturdy and usable despite flaws!
Most importantly: Please do not cut this quilt for a coat or other project. It is too beautiful and in gorgeous condition and a work of art in and of itself. It would be tragic to cut up such a beautiful piece of textile history.
⋒ This is an antique piece, all photos have been taken in natural light and with limited editing to reflect its condition. Please keep in mind all antique pieces have little imperfections and reflect the story and charm of the piece.
