Completed in red polka dot print and solid white fabrics, 49 pattern blocks with heart centers and triangles to corners, arranged in a way to create diamond motifs, having outline quilting, border to all four sides with grid quilting, back-over-front binding, three-paneled plain backing. Late 19th/early 20th century.
A very unusual and rare quilt, this is a very special and true collector’s piece.

C O N D I T I O N
Mostly in very good overall condition, top with some areas of fading, some small spots of discoloration, a few spots of separation to seams, backing with a few stains. Overall sturdy and usable and presents beautifully.
Most importantly: Please do not cut this quilt for a coat or other project. It is too beautiful and in gorgeous condition and a work of art in and of itself. It would be tragic to cut up such a beautiful piece of textile history.
