1890s Double Sided Log Cabin Quilt
Circa 1890s-1900s, this beautiful quilt is a work of art, and not just one, but both sides are a showcase of that!
Side one is a large scale courthouse steps-esque block. A modern work of art that would look beautiful hung on a wall. The second side is a beautifully pieced log cabin quilt. The ever classic pattern that has a variety of beautiful antique fabrics.
There is no batting, and it is not quilted, meaning this quilt was intended as more of a summer quilt .
D E T A I L S
How it’s made: Hand pieced
Weight: Medium
Measurements laid flat: 71” x 62”
Shown on a standard Full size bed.
If you’d like to hang your quilt, we recommend our locally made Folkling Quilt Clips!
C O N D I T I O N
Several seam separations throughout. Wear across binding. A few tears and thinning of fabric scattered throughout. A few spots of discoloration throughout. A larger area of darker discoloration across one corner of quilt. Best for display as art than for everyday use on a bed.
Most importantly: Please do not cut this quilt for a coat or other project. It is too beautiful and in gorgeous condition and a work of art in and of itself. It would be tragic to cut up such a beautiful piece of textile history.
⋒ This is an antique piece, all photos have been taken in natural light and with limited editing to reflect its condition. Please keep in mind all antique pieces have little imperfections and reflect the story and charm of the piece.
⋒ This find will ship to you within one week of purchasing. International and combined shipping is available, please contact us via instagram DM at @Folkling for a personalized shipping quote.
