1890s Courthouse Steps Quilt

$858.00

This eye catching cotton 1890's courthouse steps quilt is a really wonderful iteration of this pattern, especially with the primary colored cotton paired with the calicos throughout. There is hand quilting around the piecework throughout at 5-6 stitches to the inch. The back and hand stitched binding are the same black and white (reads gray) late 19th century calico, and the batting is very thin.

A very graphic and gorgeous quilt that would look exceptional hung on a wall.

Excellent condition, with only the occasional light age spot and no wear. Very sturdy and usable, whether for a bed or art on the wall.

Most importantly: Please do not cut this quilt for a coat or other project. It is too beautiful and in gorgeous condition and a work of art in and of itself. It would be tragic to cut up such a beautiful piece of textile history.

⋒ This is an antique piece, all photos have been taken in natural light and with limited editing to reflect its condition. Please keep in mind all antique pieces have little imperfections and reflect the story and charm of the piece.

⋒ This find will ship to you within one week of purchasing. International and combined shipping is available, please contact us via instagram DM at @Folkling for a personalized shipping quote.
