1890s Calico Zig Zag Quilt
Also sometimes known as a basketweave pattern, this quilt has a variety of lovely calico fabrics for study, as well as a beautiful whole cloth walnut calico backing.
A great one for every day use or to hang on the wall.
D E T A I L S
How it’s made: Machine pieced and hand quilted
Weight: Light
Measurements laid flat: 64” x 74”
If you’d like to hang your quilt, we recommend our locally made Folkling Quilt Clips!
C O N D I T I O N
Several 1”-2” tears on the back of the quilt, exposing the front side of the quilt. One 2” tear at one edge that goes all the way through. Several pinholes throughout. Wear on binding causing fraying and loose threads. Fading and discoloration across the back of the quilt. Overall sturdy and usable and presents beautifully when taken in as a whole especially.
Most importantly: Please do not cut this quilt for a coat or other project. It is too beautiful and in gorgeous condition and a work of art in and of itself. It would be tragic to cut up such a beautiful piece of textile history.
⋒ This is an antique piece, all photos have been taken in natural light and with limited editing to reflect its condition. Please keep in mind all antique pieces have little imperfections and reflect the story and charm of the piece.
