1890s Chimney Sweep Signature Quilt
Oh the charm and captivation of a signature quilt! This one is truly special.
It is comprised of 42 blocks, 8.5 x 8.5 Inches, set on point, 6 by 7, with shirting print alternating squares and setting triangles. There is thin cotton batting and a shirting reverse. The edge is finished with the back brought to the front, and applied by machine. Most of the blocks have a name inscription in the center in a blue ink. There is no date or geographic location that we can discern.

In great condition with a few small spots. Very usable.
Most importantly: Please do not cut this quilt for a coat or other project. It is too beautiful and in gorgeous condition and a work of art in and of itself. It would be tragic to cut up such a beautiful piece of textile history.
