1880s Bear's Paw Quilt

$980.00
sold out

Hands down one of the most stunning and vibrant quilts for its age that we have ever found. The ever desirable cheddar in this one is incredible.
There are 25 stunning blocks constructed of golden yellow, sea blue and white with intricate decorative quilting, with black quilting thread details.
This is a once in a lifetime piece for your collection. Truly, we have never seen one with these colors so vibrantly in tact.

D E T A I L S

How it’s made: Hand quilted

Weight: Light

Measurements laid flat: 70.5” x 72”

Shown on a standard Full size bed.

From a prominent Fairfax Station, Virginia collection

C O N D I T I O N
Remarkable condition, only flaws are a few very small areas of fading and a mark on the border that is possibly from bleach or an acidic reaction to the dye.

Fitted with a rod sleeve on the back for ease of hanging, which can easily be removed if so desired.

Most importantly: Please do not cut this quilt for a coat or other project my friends. It is too beautiful and in gorgeous condition and a work of art in and of itself. It would be tragic to cut up such a beautiful piece of textile history.

⋒ This is an antique piece, all photos have been taken in natural light and with limited editing to reflect its condition. Please keep in mind all antique pieces have little imperfections and reflect the story and charm of the piece.

⋒ This find will ship to you within one week of purchasing. International and combined shipping is available, please contact us via instagram DM at @Folkling for a personalized shipping quote.

—☽☼— All sales are final —☼☽—

We want you to love your vintage finds, so please look through the photos and read the listing description carefully and feel free to ask any and all questions before purchasing, as we do not accept returns.

Thank you for understanding!
