1880s Sixteen Patch Mosaic Quilt

$1,200.00

From the mid Atlantic region, this quilt with its 49 on-point pattern blocks in various print fabrics, is a work of absolute art. Alternating with whole stripe print fabric blocks and with a border to all four sides and straight-line and diagonal line quilting, back-over-front binding, three-paneled plain backing.
It feels like a renaissance piece in the best way.

D E T A I L S

How it’s made: Hand quilted, hand pieced

Weight: Medium to light weight

Measurements laid flat: 82" x 84"

Shown on a standard Full size bed.
If you’d like to hang your quilt, we recommend our locally made Folkling Quilt Clips!

C O N D I T I O N
Very good visual condition, top with some scattered stains and spotting, a few scattered small holes including to center pattern block, one block near center having one seam with separation, border with an area of fading or possibly a manufacturing flaw in fabric along one edge, backing with overall light toning, spotting, and some stains, area with possible remnants of writing/text or dark markings.  Overall in very stunning and usable condition.

Most importantly: Please do not cut this quilt for a coat or other project. It is too beautiful and in gorgeous condition and a work of art in and of itself. It would be tragic to cut up such a beautiful piece of textile history.

⋒ This is an antique piece, all photos have been taken in natural light and with limited editing to reflect its condition. Please keep in mind all antique pieces have little imperfections and reflect the story and charm of the piece.

⋒ This find will ship to you within one week of purchasing. International and combined shipping is available, please contact us via instagram DM at @Folkling for a personalized shipping quote.

—☽☼— All sales are final —☼☽—

We want you to love your vintage finds, so please look through the photos and read the listing description carefully and feel free to ask any and all questions before purchasing, as we do not accept returns.

Thank you for understanding!
