1880s Hand Tied Calico Quilt

$298.00
sold out

Another quilt from our latest trip out west this summer, this quilt was found in Idaho.
An earlier hand tied quilt then we normally come across, this one is in gorgeous and very usable condition for its age and the hand dyed feed sack backing makes a lovely neutral side that could also be displayed if you chose.
Overall a really beautiful array of walnut and rose hues that would be a great neutral layering piece on your bed.

D E T A I L S

How it’s made: machine pieced and hand tied

Weight: medium to heavy

Measurements laid flat: 68” x 77”

Shown on a standard Full size bed.

C O N D I T I O N
One hole in center that goes all the way through that could be mended if desired. Faint discoloration and fading on the back and damage to one piece of the edge binding where batting is exposed.

Most importantly: Please do not cut this quilt for a coat or other project. It is too beautiful and in gorgeous condition and a work of art in and of itself. It would be tragic to cut up such a beautiful piece of textile history.

⋒ This is an antique piece, all photos have been taken in natural light and with limited editing to reflect its condition. Please keep in mind all antique pieces have little imperfections and reflect the story and charm of the piece.

⋒ This find will ship to you within one week of purchasing. International and combined shipping is available, please contact us via instagram DM at @Folkling for a personalized shipping quote.

—☽☼— All sales are final —☼☽—

We want you to love your vintage finds, so please look through the photos and read the listing description carefully and feel free to ask any and all questions before purchasing, as we do not accept returns.

Thank you for understanding!
