1880s Turkey Tracks Appliqué Quilt
This 1880s Turkey Tracks appliqué quilt is incredible. Can we all just pause a good long while to admire that intricate pineapple quilting stitching throughout??
This quilt’s sand toned fabric was originally green and has since faded which is common with quilts of this age. In exquisite condition, this will be a cherished item for years to come. This beautiful quilt also has the original maker’s mark of pencil quilting guidelines which lends to the fact that this quilt was never used. Found in Northern Virginia in a snowstorm.

Measurements laid flat:
76” x 78”
C O N D I T I O N
As noted earlier, sand toned fabric has faded from the original green. One or two small discolorations spots on the front and back that almost go unnoticed. One small part of the binding edge has a tiny bit of fraying. Otherwise in almost pristine condition.
Most importantly: Please do not cut this quilt for a coat or other project my friends. It is too beautiful and in gorgeous condition and a work of art in and of itself. It would be tragic to cut up such a beautiful piece of textile history.
