1880s Dutch Tile Quilt

$850.00
sold out

With a variety of earlier calicos, this quilt is one of our favorites from this collection and as a result— hard to let go of. This pattern is also known as Diamond In The Square, among a few other names. Gorgeous saw tooth border and whole cloth walnut calico backing.
The edges are a little worse for wear on this quilt but if you took the time to re-bind them this quilt would absolutely be durable and usable for years to come. Would look stunning hung on a wall or used on a bed.

D E T A I L S

How it’s made: hand quilted and hand pieced

Weight: light summer weight

Measurements laid flat: 67” x 78”

Shown on a standard Full size bed.

C O N D I T I O N
Overall in great condition for its age. No holes that go all the way through however some areas of exposed batting on both the front and the back. Wear on all edges but this does not detract from the exquisite beauty of this quilt. Some faint sun fading marks on the back throughout and some of the brown calicos have bled very slightly in a few places.

Most importantly: Please do not cut this quilt for a coat or other project. It is too beautiful and in gorgeous condition and a work of art in and of itself. It would be tragic to cut up such a beautiful piece of textile history.

⋒ This is an antique piece, all photos have been taken in natural light and with limited editing to reflect its condition. Please keep in mind all antique pieces have little imperfections and reflect the story and charm of the piece.

⋒ This find will ship to you within one week of purchasing. International and combined shipping is available, please contact us via instagram DM at @Folkling for a personalized shipping quote.

We want you to love your vintage finds, so please look through the photos and read the listing description carefully and feel free to ask any and all questions before purchasing, as we do not accept returns.

Thank you for understanding!
