1873 Double Arrow Sash And Block Cheddar Quilt

$590.00
sold out

This 1873 double arrow sash and block quilt is quite the showstopper and is of a larger size. When found, we noticed a sweet little note that was pinned to one corner. The note dates the quilt to 1873 and names the maker as great grandmother Cynthia Blair. It is rare to know the original makers of the quilts and so to have this special documentation makes this quilt all the more incredible and special.
The beautiful and highly coveted cheddar fabric throughout this quilt really makes a beautiful statement.

D E T A I L S

Hand pieced and hand quilted

Weight: light to medium weight quilt

Measurements laid flat:
82” x 91”

C O N D I T I O N
In beautiful for condition for its age with a small bleach spot, faint spots of discoloration, small stains throughout as well as wear to the edges. No major holes or tears to note.

Most importantly: Please do not cut this quilt for a coat or other project my friends. It is too beautiful and in gorgeous condition and a work of art in and of itself. It would be tragic to cut up such a beautiful piece of textile history.

⋒  This is an antique piece, all photos have been taken in natural light and with limited editing to reflect its condition. Please keep in mind all antique pieces have little imperfections and reflect the story and charm of the piece.

⋒ This find will ship to you within one week of purchasing. International and combined shipping is available, please contact us via instagram DM at @Folkling for a personalized shipping quote.

We want you to love your vintage finds, so please look through the photos and read the  listing description carefully and feel free to ask any and all questions before purchasing, as we do not accept returns.

Thank you for understanding!
