1870s Whirling Rose Appliqué Quilt

An incredible, intricately quilted work of art. We speculate that the maker of this quilt either ran out of blue or green fabric and then switched to a new flower stem color.

C O N D I T I O N
Wear to some of the appliqué patches but no holes that go all the way through the quilt. A couple of small spots of discoloration. No other major wear to note. Stunning condition.

Most importantly: Please do not cut this quilt for a coat or other project my friends. It is too beautiful and in gorgeous condition and a work of art in and of itself. It would be tragic to cut up such a beautiful piece of textile history.
