1870s Linsey Woolsey Quilt
We can’t keep all of our favorites for forever… This one came out of our personal collection and is a really gorgeous and graphic quilt. With elbow fan quilting and really rich colors, the simplicity of this one allows for it to be placed anywhere in your home, but we think it would look especially stunning on a wall.

How it’s made: hand quilted, hand pieced
Weight: medium to heavy
Measurements laid flat: 78” x 69”

C O N D I T I O N
Handful of quarter-sized holes through the top wool patchwork pieces, one thumb-sized candle wax spot near center, discoloration throughout.
On back, one hole in the backing that doesn’t go all the way through, fading at fold line from previous storage, and a darker spot that came through after previous owner attempted to clean the candle wax.
Otherwise, edge binding is sound and no holes that go all the way through. Overall, in very usable condition.
Most importantly: Please do not cut this quilt for a coat or other project. It is too beautiful and in gorgeous condition and a work of art in and of itself. It would be tragic to cut up such a beautiful piece of textile history.
