1870s Garden Wreath Appliqué Quilt
Certainly a quilt for a flower lover. In lovely condition for its age, the chrome yellow cotton centers of each of these calico flowers is one of our favorite details of this quilt. With vegetable dyed green cotton and gorgeous self quilting throughout, this would absolutely be a peaceful addition to your collection.

How it’s made: hand appliquéd and machine pieced

C O N D I T I O N
Very faint discoloration throughout, due to the previous owners washing method. May come out with a very careful further soaking. As it came to us cleaned we did not attempt another cleaning. No holes or tears that go all the way through. Some seam separation to some of the appliqué pieces.
Most importantly: Please do not cut this quilt for a coat or other project. It is too beautiful and in gorgeous condition and a work of art in and of itself. It would be tragic to cut up such a beautiful piece of textile history.
