1870s Eight Pointed Star Quilt Top
This remarkable quilt top comes from our personal collection. One we had hanging as a curtain at our old shop at one point and everyone was upset it wasn’t for sale!
Well, it is now ready to find a new home.
It has incredible calicos, and an overall really gorgeous look when taken in as a whole.
A very special and old top that they certainly are not making more of. ;)

How it’s made: hand pieced
Measurements laid flat: 83” x 84”

C O N D I T I O N
The madder print calico at the edges is quite fragile and is shattering in some places. There are some spots of discoloration, and similar fabric shattering in a handful of other piecework pieces that have deteriorated over time due to age.
It should be used with care, (not as a shower curtain!) best hanging, or as a gentle doorway curtain or room divider or back drop as the body is quite sturdy and sound overall!
⋒ This is an antique piece, all photos have been taken in natural light and with limited editing to reflect its condition. Please keep in mind all antique pieces have little imperfections and reflect the story and charm of the piece.
