1860s The Lost Ship Quilt

$750.00

This 1860s quilt is of civil war period and a museum quality piece. The quilting around the border of this quilt will blow you away. Intricate and beautiful and thoughtfully executed. The attention to detail found in many early American quilts such as this is truly exceptional. Not to be confused with post 1900s calico quilts— This beauty is the real deal. A true collector’s piece.

Very faint wear to edge binding and faint discoloration throughout. The most notable flaw is a hole on one edge, which can be easily mended if so desired.

Most importantly: Please do not cut this quilt for a coat or other project my friends. It is too beautiful and in gorgeous condition and a work of art in and of itself. It would be tragic to cut up such a beautiful piece of textile history.
