1860s Oakleaf Appliqué Quilt

$680.00
sold out

We kept this one in the archives for some time. A unique scalloped edged quilt that features beautiful vegetable dyed fabric that was originally green and has since faded due to age. The border features gorgeous decorative quilting. We have never seen a similar piece and this is in remarkable condition for its age and was very thoughtfully pieced together.

D E T A I L S

How it’s made: hand quilted and hand appliquéd

Weight: light

Measurements laid flat: 80” x 81”

Shown on a standard Full size bed.

C O N D I T I O N
Fading due to age of fabric and dye processes used. No tears or holes to note! Some discoloration spots on the front and back.

Most importantly: Please do not cut this quilt for a coat or other project my friends. It is too beautiful and in gorgeous condition and a work of art in and of itself. It would be tragic to cut up such a beautiful piece of textile history.

⋒ This is an antique piece, all photos have been taken in natural light and with limited editing to reflect its condition. Please keep in mind all antique pieces have little imperfections and reflect the story and charm of the piece.

⋒ This find will ship to you within one week of purchasing. International and combined shipping is available, please contact us via instagram DM at @Folkling for a personalized shipping quote.

—☽☼— All sales are final —☼☽—

We want you to love your vintage finds, so please look through the photos and read the listing description carefully and feel free to ask any and all questions before purchasing, as we do not accept returns.

Thank you for understanding!
