A gorgeous antique French quilted fabric fragment dating to 1860, likely once a quilted bed curtain, but it has been cut so it's shorter.
The floral fabric was both resist and hand block printed, this piece would look gorgeous hung in a hallway or incorporated into a tablescape.

How it’s made: hand quilted, hand pieced
Weight: light, cotton batting
Measurements laid flat: 50” x 62”

C O N D I T I O N
This was once a larger piece and has been cut down at some point in its life. The left side has a large patch of holes and there are some other holes dotted here and there. The backing is a cotton, with carious discoloration as well.
Most importantly: Please do not cut this quilt for a coat or other project. It is too beautiful and in gorgeous condition and a work of art in and of itself. It would be tragic to cut up such a beautiful piece of textile history.
