1860s French Floral Quilt

$258.00
sold out

Small quilts and crib quilts are highly covetable and collected for their accessible size.
Hang on the wall, use over the back of a couch, use in a tablescape, or fold artfully on a shelf.

The fabric on the back of this sweet quilt dates to 1805-1810, additionally you can see a blue irate fabric that was covered.
The French were not only frugal, but highly fashion conscious—When a textile was worn or out of date, they simply covered it with a more modern fabric.

D E T A I L S

How it’s made: Hand quilted

Weight: Medium

Measurements laid flat: 41” x 45”

If you’d like to hang your quilt, we recommend our locally made Folkling Quilt Clips!

C O N D I T I O N
In beautiful antique condition, sturdy, with a hole in the back that artfully reveals layers beneath (see explanation above)

Most importantly: Please do not cut this quilt for a coat or other project. It is too beautiful and in gorgeous condition and a work of art in and of itself. It would be tragic to cut up such a beautiful piece of textile history.

⋒ This is an antique piece, all photos have been taken in natural light and with limited editing to reflect its condition. Please keep in mind all antique pieces have little imperfections and reflect the story and charm of the piece.

⋒ This find will ship to you within one week of purchasing. International and combined shipping is available, please contact us via instagram DM at @Folkling for a personalized shipping quote.
